Review: Kalf Five Mens Gloves | road.cc
drinks food ambience value
The Kalf Five Men's Gloves are windproof and water resistant and they provide enough warmth for most winter conditions, as long as you're happy putting a liner glove underneath when it gets down close to freezing.
The outer fabrics (nylon/elastane back, nylon/polyurethane palm) and membrane make these gloves windproof, and that goes a long way to keeping your hands well protected when the temperature drops.
I've been using them on every ride in the recent cold snap and they've done a really good job, although I've been putting a pair of wool liner gloves underneath for extra insulation when the temperature has been below about 5°C. I tend to feel the cold more than most; you might be happy without a liner when it's close to freezing.
Thirty-five quid really isn't much for a pair of cycle-specific winter gloves, especially for multi-layer ones that offer a good level of warmth.

Review: Kalf Club Thermal Men's Bib Tight | road.cc
location food ambience value
The Kalf Club Thermal bib tights are supremely comfortable, nice and warm yet lightweight, and really well constructed.
The flexibility is really noticeable when you put them on, and even though I found the mediums pretty snug with a compressive fit, they pulled up quite a bit easier than other thermal bib tights I use regularly.
You'll pay a premium compared to the likes of dhb's Classic Thermal bib tights and Caratti's Sport tights (which I've also worn and don't find as comfortable as these) – but they're quite a bit less than similar options from premium brands, such as Gore's Power Thermo Bibtights+ and Rapha's Core Winter bib tights.
Supremely comfortable and well-thought-out thermal tights that will see you through most of the winter Tell us what the product is for Kalf says: "These winter tights are cut from an Italian-made thermal Roubaix fabric.
Kalf describes them as having 'a high thermal rating' but I could have done with thicker/warmer tights when the temperature dropped to around freezing.
Kalf Club Thermal Long Sleeve jersey review - Cycling Weekly

But with its Club Thermal Long sleeved jersey – available in men’s and women’s fit – Kalf has attempted to duck the elevated pricing trend.
Kalf Club Thermal Long Sleeve Jersey: construction When Kalf first arrived on the scene, it set out its objectives very clearly: to offer quality kit with a premium worthy eye for detail at a manageable price tag.
Kalf Club Thermal Long sleeve jersey with reflective detailing at the lower back The navy blue version, though attractive, doesn’t scream visibility.
Reflective ‘K’ on the Kalf Club Thermal Long sleeve jersey In the wet, the jersey did suck up a fair amount of moisture when worn under a packable jacket – which is to be expected – it doesn’t boast of any waterproofing and in a deluge the unavoidable truth is that you will always get wet.
Jerseys that offer similar levels of warmth and breathability are available at a similar price tag, but the fabric used sets it ahead of lightweight and breathable jersey with a touch of the premium woven in thanks to luxury fabric - ideal for autumn and spring and suited to winter rides when paired up with roubaix (80% Polyamide Micro and 20%
Kalf Club Women's bib shorts review - Cycling Weekly
food value ambience
Kalf Club Women's Bib Kalf Club women’s bib shorts are part of the brand’s debut capsule range which aims to provide the attention to detail you’d expect from a high end garment at an entry level price point.
Premium design on the straps of the Kalf Club Women’s Bib Shorts All of these details are printed on the inside, to avoid the introduction of any scratchy labels.
Kalf Club Women’s bib shorts feature silicone grippers at the cuffs The leg grippers, plain black on the outside and printed with silicone dots in a chevron design on the inside, are another touch of luxury you might not expect on shorts at this price point.
The legs on the Kalf Club Women’s bib shorts were fairly Euro in styling, meaning they offer quite a bit of coverage, and the grippers sat well and kept everything in place.
Kalf Club Women’s bib shorts: Value Buy now at Evans Cycles for £64.99 At this price point, more often than not you’re expecting a bog standard pair of bib shorts.

The Kalf Flux bib shorts come from a new UK clothing brand, sold exclusively through Evans Cycles Kalf is a new name in cycle clothing, sold exclusively by Evans Cycles.
The Kalf Flux bib shorts come in two different design options, with the difference not actually visible when worn, as the chevron pattern just refers to the bib straps – and the inner side of them at that.

Kalf Flux Transition windproof jersey review | Cyclist
food
One of the staples of the range is the Kalf Flux Transition windproof jersey.
The front panel of the jersey is a thicker, almost rigid material that is designed to keep rain and wind from your chest.
It may only seem like a small addition, but the Kalf Transition jersey has six pockets, double what is usually on offer.
Kalf says that this jersey is a race fit and I can definitely confirm this to be true.
Often, when looking for weatherproof cycling gear, we can all usually just look towards the same few brands year after year but this Kalf jersey really does hit the spot and should be considered the next time you're after something new.
Kalf Five° winter gloves - review - Road Cycling UK
ambience
The Flux Transition windproof jersey, Chevron summer jersey and Chevron bib shorts all reviewed well, so when we heard about the winter range, we were interested to see if it could also meet those early standards.
In the case of Kalf’s Five° gloves, the lighter of the two winter gloves in the collection, it’s safe to say we’re not disappointed.
Kalf make two thermal full-fingered gloves, the Zero° and the Five°, the names of which are indicators of the sort of temperatures they’re designed to excel in.
The Five gloves on test are naturally the lighter of the two, and provide protection through a windproof membrane along with some C40 Thinsulate padding from Polartec to give genuine thermal properties and a little water resistance.
Where many winter gloves are quite bulky and don’t provide the best dexterity, here the choice of that C40 Thinsulate insulation has resulted in an especially light glove that gives great feel on the handlebars and hoods, yet still gives good thermal performance in typical winter conditions.

A place with one star is worth a look—after all, it made the list.
A rating of two stars means it's excellent, and three stars is the highest praise we give.
